Flashing your projector using an IMG file is easy — no tech skills required! Just follow this step-by-step guide.
⚠️ Estimated time: 5–10 minutes
🧰 What you'll need:
- A USB flash drive (minimum 1GB)
- A computer (Windows or Mac)
- The .img update file (sent to you by our support team)
- Your Vision Beam projector and its power cable
STEP 1 — Format the USB Drive (Important!)
- Plug the USB flash drive into your computer.
- Format it as FAT32:
- Windows: Right-click the USB → Format → Choose FAT32 → Start
- Mac: Open Disk Utility → Erase → Format as MS-DOS (FAT)
STEP 2 — Transfer the Update Files
- Unzip the update file you received (e.g.
update.zip
) - Copy the unzipped folder or file (usually named
update
or.img
) directly into the USB root folder - Safely eject the USB drive from your computer
STEP 3 — Plug into the Projector
- Make sure the projector is turned OFF and unplugged
- Insert the USB drive into the projector’s USB port
- Plug in the power cable and turn on the projector
- Wait a few seconds — the indicator light will turn from red to blue
- A progress bar should appear on screen indicating the update is in progress
STEP 4 — Let It Complete
- Wait until the progress bar reaches 100%
- Once completed, you may see a confirmation message or the projector may restart automatically
- ⚠️ Do not turn off or unplug the projector during this step
STEP 5 — Final Step
- Once the update is complete, unplug the projector and remove the USB drive
- Your projector is now successfully updated 🎉
❗ If You Don't See the Progress Bar:
- Ensure the USB is formatted correctly as FAT32
- Make sure the update folder or
.img
file is placed at the root of the USB (not inside another folder) - Try another USB port or USB drive if necessary
