1. Adjust Xbox Output Settings
- Navigate to
Settings > TV & Display Options > Video Modes
. - Under Resolution, select 1080P instead of 4K UHD.
- Make sure the Refresh Rate is set to 60Hz, which the projector supports.
- Disable any advanced video settings like HDR if necessary, as the projector doesn’t natively support HDR processing.
2. Check HDMI Cable
- Ensure the customer is using a high-speed HDMI cable, preferably HDMI 2.0 or higher.
- A lower-quality cable may not transmit the correct signal from the Xbox to the projector, causing issues.
3. Reconfirm Input Source
- Verify that the customer has selected the correct HDMI input source on the VisionBeam projector.
- Remind them to follow these steps:
- Select the HDMI app on the projector.
- Ensure the Xbox is powered on.
- Wait a few seconds for the projector to recognize the signal.
- If the issue persists, unplug and replug the HDMI cable, then restart the Xbox and the projector.
4. Educate the Customer
- Explain to the customer:
- The VisionBeam projector has a native 1080P resolution.
- While it can decode 4K content, it will automatically downscale the content to 1080P for display.
- This ensures smooth performance and compatibility with devices like the Xbox, but requires the Xbox to output at 1080P.
